In the beginning...

Albert Loeffler and Company (ALCo) filed for incorporation on February 27, 1946.  ALCo was founded as a manufacturing company which specialized in the production of ultra-precise, exotic metal alloy components used in electronic and electro-mechanical applications.  Industries served included aerospace, communications, defense, semi-conductor, medical, environmental, energy and commercial.  ALCo produced parts for many unique military/defense programs most of which were classified and confidential.

One notable communications industry project where Albert Loeffler and Company received recognition was published in LIFE Magazine on September 28, 1962.  ALCo along with 1249 other manufacturers and vendors was acknowledged for its contribution to supplying parts and services to produce the first ever telecommunications satellite sent into space, TELSTAR 1.  This milestone by Bell Systems would not have been possible without the skill and cooperation of the many suppliers.
